Octavo. Publisher's original peacock-blue cloth, spine titles stamped in gilt. Pictorial dust jackets designed by Angelica Garnett. Frontispieces and family trees present across volumes.
Condition Report:
- The Books: Near Fine. The cloth boards are clean, vibrant, and square with sharp corners and bright spine gilt. Internals are exceptionally clean, crisp, and tightly bound. Absolutely no ownership inscriptions, bookplates, or marginalia. The page edges and top text blocks are uniformly bright and completely free of the common dust speckling or foxing typical of this paper stock.
- The Dust Jackets: Very Good. All six original wrappers are structurally sound and complete, with no major chips or tears. There is light uniform sun-fading to the spine panels, a common occurrence with the pigments used on these jackets. The front jacket flaps of Volumes I and III have been cleanly price-clipped; all other volumes remain unclipped.
Overall, an exceptionally crisp, clean, and well-preserved collector's set of a cornerstone Bloomsbury Group publication. Please ask for further photographs.
