MACAULAY, Rose. Letters to a Sister. Edited by Constance Babington Smith.
London: Collins, 1964. First edition. Octavo (8vo), 352pp. Bound in publisher's original cloth with gilt lettering to spine.
Condition:
- Book: Very Good. Clean cloth boards with bright spine lettering. Internally tight and crisp with no previous owner inscriptions or markings. Pages are bright with only minimal, age-appropriate toning.
- Dust Jacket: Very Good. Structurally sound and clean, showing slight superficial markings to the rear panel. Very minor nicks/rubbing to the spine ends, consistent with light shelf wear. Price-clipped to the front inner flap, but otherwise complete and presents very handsomely in a protective sleeve.
A highly collectable first edition copy of this important posthumous collection, capturing the witty and insightful correspondence between Rose Macaulay and her sister Jean from 1926 to 1958.
