Salt and Silver: Early Photography 1840-1860 edited by Marta Braun and Hope Kingsley was published by Mack books for the Wilson Centre for Photography in 2015 as a catalogue of an exhibition of the same name at the Tate Gallery.  Large paperback 23.5 x 28cm.  Purple card fold out covers.  196 pps.   Discovered by Henry Fox Talbot in 1839, the silver salt method is the oldest negative / positive photographic process.  One hundred pioneering images are reproduced.  Book condition is new.
